#28 – Come Back To Me

A story that was adequate enough to keep my attention but wasn’t at all scary.  I thought the ending was pretty smart but in the end I still shook my head a few times, probably a film I wouldn’t revisit anytime soon. Recommend? I guess so…

#27 – Client 9

An excellent documentary about corruption and power.  You kind of get the impression that Spitzer really could’ve changed things and made a difference if only he didn’t get involved with the damn hookers.  Well paced and put together, a documentary I had been looking to watch for awhile and didn’t let me down. Recommend? Documentaries…

#12 – Falcon Rising

Everything about this movie is awful.  The dialogue is ludicrous and even the action is poorly shot.  Too bad to even be a low budget find I laughed out loud a few times at the acting…god, even the picture sucks. Recommend? Hell no.

#59 – Drug Lord: The Legend Of Shorty

The drug violence in Mexico is known throughout the world but for such an fascinating subject this is just a lackluster documentary.  Unfocused and unfulfilling, I feel like there’s a great story here to be told but maybe by different filmmakers or in a different way. Recommend? I wouldn’t, there are just too many quality…

#5 – Welcome To The Jungle

Jean-Claude Van Damme continues his great pick of recent roles with a hilarious corporate retreat farce.  Rob Huebel is hilarious as the foil and Adam Brody plays a great straight man.  Stupid and silly yet hilarious, one of the better comedies I’ve seen in a long while. Recommend? For sure, Rob Heubel and Jean-Claude are…

#100 – Marvel’s Daredevil

Part crime procedural, part superhero drama, part action series, part The Dark Knight, Marvel’s Daredevil marks the biggest departure from the MCU to date and it’s utterly fantastic.  Gritty and dark, it has nothing to do with the Marvel movies we’ve seen to this point which are upbeat and bright, not just in their look…

Star Wars: The Force Awakens

I have to wait till Christmas?! Damn there is so much awesomeness in this trailer.  Apart from the clunky title I can’t think of one reason to not be excited about Star Wars: The Force Awakens and this trailer just reinforces all of that.  Christmas can’t come soon enough!

Ant-Man

Marvel continues to take over the world, this time with a thief who can shrink to the size of an ant. I’m still just not sure about this one.  The action scenes are encouraging and I like the look of Corey Stoll’s villain but after Edgar Wright left the project over “creative differences” I think…

#39 – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014)

Off the top, seriously, don’t even waste your time.  Going into this movie I had heard all of the negative reviews and that it was awful but being a fan of TMNT since I was a kid I just had to take a chance.  I kind of pride myself being able to find something positive…

#23 – Better Living Through Chemistry

I lost interest in this movie pretty quickly.  Thin characters and an alright story, I just couldn’t find a way to stay interested.  Sam Rockwell gives his usual great performance but when you don’t really care about any of the characters then there’s really no reason to stick around.  Not horrible, just not very good.…
