There’s a plot in this movie somewhere and Paul Thomas Anderson dares you to find it. But in looking for it you’ll miss the unique performances, the outstanding music and authentic feel of the film. Don’t get too wrapped up in it and just go along for the trippy ride.  I haven’t seen a PTA film I haven’t enjoyed and even though I found this to be one of his weakest, it’s still one of the most entertaining films I’ve seen this year.

Recommend?  I’ll always recommend a PTA film, no matter what it is.
