Admittedly I’m an Ed Burns fan, have been since The Brother McMullen, I really enjoy how he constructs intimate and realistic stories where characters are important and relate to each other in real ways. He’s had a few misses lately but I really felt that this movie was a return to form. I’m a fan of this movie and really think he hit a home run. The story is simple and really gets elevated by strong supporting performances and some first person conversations about love and relationships.
Recommend? Ed Burns is back, take a look.
