#74 – 20,000 Days On Earth

One of the most original and unique documentaries I can remember, Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard’s 20,000 Days On Earth is a chronicle of Nick Cave’s life and career told through his own words and those around him.  There’s a narrative feel to this movie that marks Cave’s 20,000th day on earth and appearances by Kylie Minogue and Ray Winstone just reinforce that.  We see his creative process and experiences carried through a fictitious day and it’s weirdly hypnotic and strange.

Recommend? I’ve been a Nick Cave fan for years but non fans may find this too strange to follow along.
